The "Kasey Fire & Life Safety" program is an interactive educational program geared for preschool through 6th grade students.
Since the program's inception almost thirteen years ago by a Firefighter in Indianapolis, Indiana, the Kasey program has performed at hundreds, if not thousands, of venues, teaching over 2 million children across the Eastern United States. The Kasey program delivers an educational and potentially life saving message in an entertaining format to children. Kasey, a black Labrador Retriever, performs all of the fire and life safety skills that are taught to our young people. By utilizing the natural bond between children and animals, the child's attention is easily focused on the skills taught.
Kasey demonstrates the following basic fire and life safety skills:
-Stop, Drop, & Roll-Know two ways out of EVERY room
-Feel the door for heat before opening it
-Tell an adult when you find lighters or matches
